To promote Tigrean cultures in American society, and to promote better understanding and appreciation of these cultures; To educate American-born Tigrean children and youth to appreciate and preserve their ancestral traditions and cultures of Tigray.
To solve the educational, cultural, social and economic problems the community members and their offspring are facing and to preserve and promote our values, To strengthen relations with similar international communities in general and Tigrian communities in particular
To assist and educate members: a) Their rights and responsibilities, basic rules, regulations, civil rights and policies of The United States associated with their daily life. b) Tigrigna, English and other languages, basics of computer and health education and to share happiness and challenges of members and immediate family members during death and accident

The goals of our volunteer program include offering opportunities to the community to help increase the capacity ofThe Tigray Community Association Washington DC Metropolitan Area (TCA-WDA), providing bi-lingual support for community projects, increasing people’s skills and knowledge by way of direct experience, facilitating cross-cultural exchange, and developing new community leaders.
The goal of our family empowerment program is to strengthen whole families by increasing access to high-priority services and opportunities.
